Remote Offsite Backup

Remote offsite backup is a specific type of backup when the data are backed up online to a remote location on the web. The data backed up offsite are safer than data stored locally because if a disaster happens to your local computer, it will not affect the data stored remotely.

There are many types of backup which basically differ in the storage media used for storing backups. You can back up your data to a local hard drive, to a disk, tape, and so on. But all of these storage media can be exposed to mechanical damage, fire, flood, burglary or corruption, unlike remote offsite backup which will stay safe and unaffected, as it is professionally protected against all sorts of disasters and accidents.

Remote offsite backup is an excellent means of data protection!
