Novosoft Remote Backup Service allows performing synchronization of files.

Synchronization means that the contents of files and folders are shared so that the contents of one folder match the contents of another folder. This may be useful if you want to keep information stored in one location identical to the information stored in another location.

For example, if you want to keep files stored locally identical to files stored on an FTP server, you may set up a synchronization task and Handy Backup will synchronize those files automatically without your further intervention.

If you want to perform synchronization, you should specify the first folder and the second folder. As mentioned above, the two folders may be in different physical locations but they need to exist somewhere physically for Handy Backup to find them and perform the synchronization task. After you have defined the two folders, you should specify which of the two will be the source for synchronization and which will be the destination. When synchronization task is run the information will be copied from the source folder to the destination folder.

However, you may also want to run synchronization in both directions so both folders will be the source and the destination at the same time. This option is called mirroring. Mirroring means that the files in either folder are shared with the other folder. For example, if you add or change files in the first folder they will be added or changed in the second folder as well, and vice versa.

You can keep your files synchronized between multiple locations such as local drives, remote servers, removable drives, CD, DVD, FTP etc.
